The estimator will work either within the central Programme Management Office (PMO) or one of the delivery teams, on behalf of the Programme Partner, liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the programme, reporting to the Estimating Lead or a Project Controls Manager.

Client Focus - Deliver On Our Promise
* You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
* You will direct preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.
* You will proactively identify costing associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges, and present these to clients.
* Lead the preparation of estimating and cost planning duties and present to the programme partner team, Partners, and the Client.
* Incorporating appropriate financial data in the programme to produce a project cost/time distribution profile and communicate the results to the project team.
* Producing and maintaining project baselines and execute the pre-construction change control process as appropriate.
* Developing and maintaining of project assumptions/exclusions and dependencies logs.
* Ensure services are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
* Ensure service delivery is in line with the conditions of the contract.
* The identification of and participation in new initiatives that add value and improve the programme.

Qualifications
* A quantity surveying degree or equivalent experience and ideally a member of RICS or equivalent professional body.
* Proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar estimating or cost planning role in a construction or consultancy background.
* Good understanding of the UK regulatory and nuclear framework.
* Experience of nuclear or high secure sectors desirable.
* Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
* Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Strong Bidding and business development experience.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
* Management experience within large, diverse teams.
* Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
