Applications are invited from existing suitably experienced and qualified Firefighters and Crew Managers. Eligible applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:
* Be a competent Firefighter
* Completed IC‑S course or pre‑incident command review
* Have good leadership skills
* Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions
* Discussed the opportunity with your Line Manager
* Live or work within a 5‑minute response to the Station
* Whilst it is desirable, it is not essential to have attended a Leading Others Assessment Centre.
From 1 April 2024, we are introducing development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting‑up role. These pay rates are set out by the National Joint Council.
