Due to the nature of our projects, we require individuals to hold full work rights within the UK, coupled with being eligible for SC level Security Clearance.
What you'll be doing
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries.
* Design LV electrical distribution systems.
* Create documentation such as Specifications & Datasheets, Cable Calculations & Schedules, and Drawings (via CAD team).
* Review and check manufacturer documents for compliance with project specifications.
* Develop and maintain relationships with technical consultants and suppliers.
Who we're looking for
Qualities and experience:
* Proficiency in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
* Focus on collaboration and building relationships with designers and project teams to deliver cost-effective and acceptable design solutions.
* Effective communication skills at all levels and clear, succinct writing.
* Promotion of innovation and continuous improvement in design.
* Excellent IT Skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
* Knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory material.
* Experience in heavy industries such as Petrochemical, Power Generation, Renewables, and Nuclear.
Beneficial experience:
* Design of HV electrical systems.
* Use of AutoCAD and Revit software.
* Use of Dialux or Relux software.
* Use of SKM, ETAP, Digsilent, PSCAD software.
* Design of ATEX systems.
