HR Assistant (Temporary)

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Our client is currently seeking a HR Assistant to join a busy and professional HR team on a temporary basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in Human Resources to gain valuable experience in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collate, monitor and accurately record absence management data
* Issue absence management paperwork in line with policy and procedure
* Monitor the application of HR policies and procedures
* Respond to general HR-related queries from managers and staff in a timely, professional and sensitive manner
* Produce HR reports for the wider HR team and senior management as required
* Deliver an effective administrative service, ensuring both electronic and paper-based records are handled appropriately
* Ensure all documentation complies with data protection legislation and the Government Protective Marking System (GPMS)
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 2 National 5s (or equivalent) including English and Maths/Arithmetic at grade 3/C or above, or relevant experience in a similar role
* Strong administrative experience with excellent attention to detail
* Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to plan, organise and manage workload effectively
* Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate with others7
