IT Technician at Customs Support Group

Join our dynamic IT & Tech department at Customs Support Group as an IT Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our team members.

4. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems

5. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions

6. Assist in network maintenance and security tasks

7. Collaborate with team members to enhance IT infrastructure

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

8. Provide timely technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.

9. Conduct training sessions for basic computer technical issue resolution.

10. Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot complex technical problems.

11. Ensure security and confidentiality of organizational data through IT policy enforcement.

12. Assist in setup and maintenance of computer systems, including hardware and software installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

13. Respond to and prioritize help desk tickets with excellent customer service.

14. Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and optimizations.

15. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies for proactive recommendations.

16. Document IT procedures and solutions for knowledge sharing and training.

17. Collaborate with third-party vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.

Person Specification

18. Qualifications: A good level of numeracy and literacy. Relevant industry qualifications desirable.

19. Experience: 2+ years in a helpdesk or IT support role, Windows environment

20. Knowledge: Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration. Knowledge of cloud environments desirable.

21. Some exposure to Azure / Microsoft Entra ID or Intune, is nice to have.

22. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented abilities. Customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.

23. Attitude: Alignment with Customs Support vision, mission, and values: Accountability, Quality, Integrity, and Teamwork.

24. Based in or commutable to Langford (Malden), Essex
