Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products, contributing to both construction and manufacturing projects.
Duties
* Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks.
* Conduct fabrication processes including assembly, machining, and pipe threading.
* Ensure compliance with ASME codes and standards throughout all welding activities.
* Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed on construction sites.
* Perform quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in welds.
* Engage in rigging activities as required for lifting heavy components during assembly.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience in welding with a focus on TIG and FCAW techniques.
* Familiarity with construction site environments and safety regulations.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
* Experience with fabrication processes including soldering and plasma cutting.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Ability to operate various machinery including press brake machines.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
