This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional behavioural, social, or emotional needs. Your Role as a PRU Teaching Assistant: Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis to promote engagement and positive behaviour. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities suited to individual needs. Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and progress. Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. What You’ll Need: Previous experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or similar setting (essential). A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
