Delivery Lead

We’re seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to manage a portfolio of complex IT projects, leading internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial oversight, and senior stakeholder engagement, with accountability for delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-million-pound IT projects (Agile & Waterfall)
* Manage internal teams and outsourced suppliers to ensure successful execution
* Own project scope, governance, risk, and financial management
* Develop business cases and present at investment/decision forums
* Align delivery with wider portfolio and business strategy
* Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and blockers
* Oversee supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and performance
* Ensure accurate reporting on progress, risks, and financials
* Drive smooth transition into BAU operations
Experience Required
* Proven track record delivering complex IT programmes in fast-paced environments
* Experience working within outsourced delivery models
* Strong commercial and financial management capability
* Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
* Strong governance, risk, and change management expertise
* Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
Desirable:
Government/regulated industry experience, cloud/big data/automation exposure, ERP or enterprise systems knowledge, familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello or Asana.
