Overview
Owls Teaching Assistant role at GSAL (The Grammar School at Leeds) – to support and deliver a range of engaging activities for children in after-school provision.
Hours: 30 hours per week (12pm - 6pm), Monday - Friday, term time only + 15 days in the holidays (note: independent schools have enhanced holidays).
Salary: £26,349 FTE, actual salary for 30 hours TTO + 15 days is £17,871.54.

Responsibilities
* Provide a range of activities for children, both indoor and outdoor, to engage children in your care.
* Support and provide an environment where children can complete homework; maintain a clean and tidy area.
* Encourage children’s participation in games and activities to ensure they are happy and safe during their time at GSAL Owls.
* Assist with personal care and support children with eating and drinking as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent (ideally).
* Paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications are desirable or willingness to complete training.
* Experience working with children aged 3-11 and understanding their needs and the statutory requirements for after-school clubs.
* Friendly, approachable, polite, and able to communicate effectively to build positive relationships with parents and carers.
