What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist, you will be a vital part of a busy laboratory, contributing to high-quality diagnostic services. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Conducting a range of biochemistry laboratory tests
* Preparing and analysing blood and other biological samples for diagnostic purposes
* Ensuring high standards in lab procedures and compliance with regulations
* Supporting quality control initiatives
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
Requirements & Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist
* IBMS Accredited Degree
* 1-2 years of experience in a Biochemistry laboratory
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A strong commitment to high-quality laboratory services
* Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
The role operates Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, initially core hours (9:00 - 17:00) to then move to a 24/7 rota once competencies are signed off. The contract will last for an initial 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
