Salary £26,000 - £30,000 | Located Rossendale, Hours 9am – 5pm
Responsibilities:
1. Process and review invoices/credits for multi companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
2. Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system
3. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
4. Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
5. Prepare and process payment runs
6. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve queries
7. Assist with vendor setup and maintenance in the accounting system
8. Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
9. Provide essential cover and support for other roles within the department as and when required i.e. sales ledger, credit control
10. Weekly Invoice run for self-employee operators
Qualifications:
11. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
12. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
13. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Workday, or PeopleSoft
14. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
15. Knowledge of Sage 200 and Excel
