Job Description

Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on an excellent opportunity for a Senior Chartered Surveyor to join a well‑established and highly respected public sector focused organisation.

The organisation delivers a wide range of Public Sector Estate Management services, offering a robust and diverse professional service backed by strong technical expertise.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an established professional team, working across a varied and predominantly commercial portfolio. Key areas of responsibility include:

1. Supporting senior management on strategic property matters
2. Undertaking a wide range of general practice work, including:
3. Landlord & tenant matters
4. New lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, re-gearing
5. Lease events, surrenders, and dilapidations
6. Delivering valuations across a mixed portfolio (ideally Red Book)
7. Involvement in estate management and professional advisory work
8. Additional workstreams may include:
9. Wayleave and easement negotiations
10. Portfolio rationalisation
11. Asset valuations, including Local Authority Asset Valuations

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:

12. 5 years+ PQE as a General Practice Surveyor (public or private sector)
13. Chartered status (MRICS) with a relevant Real Estate degree or equivalent
14. Ideally, RICS Registered Valuer status
15. Strong technical knowledge of valuation methodology
16. Experience working with - or within - public sector organisations
17. Proven ability to supervise or mentor junior team members
18. Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
19. Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
20. Full UK driving licence
