Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner.
B J Clarke is based in Overton, Wrexham and is a family run haulage company that has been operating for over 50 years. We currently have 22 trucks running with taut liners, flat beds and bulk tippers.
As a family run firm we are looking for a dedicated and reliable person with a passion for haulage.
This is a permanent position with a salary review after 3 months.
Skills & experience required
* Previous transport planning and driver management experience.
* Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
* Excellent organisation, communication and customer service skills.
* Working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
* Understanding of financial and commercial aspects of transport operations.
* Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Well organised individual with a good eye for detail and accuracy.
* Logical thinking and the ability to remain calm in a busy environment.
* Dealing with VOSA compliance.
1. Working with customers and drivers planning workloads / routes to ensure deliveries are smooth running and made on time.
