Hours: Waking Nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10pm 7am) Job Reference: SOLOOSP All about me I am a Thirteen year old boy who lives at home with my parents and two of my older siblings. My mum is my main carer and my dad works as a lorry driver and works long hours. This means my mum needs help caring for me over night so she can get some rest. Im not able to do anything for myself so Im looking for someone who can make sure Im warm, comfortable and cared for while my mum sleeps upstairs. I am registered blind so would need patience and communication so I know what you are doing when you approach me. :) What I need from you I am looking for a kind and caring person to come and look after me over night. My mum is always in the home and although she would like to hand over to someone and get a break, she is always available if needed. I have a few conditions that need monitoring, I need help to regulate my temperature so my heated blanket comes in handy. I just need someone to turn it on or off when necessary. I also have diabetes but I have a sensor and pump that takes care of that so I just need someone to check my phone to make sure my sugars dont go too high or too low while I sleep. Sounds scary but its really not so bad. Other than that its a case of turning and pad changes. The rest of the night is sitting with a cuppa and a good movie on the TV, whilst monitoring, checking and supporting me as and when I need it during the night, and more so if I am unwell. I would ideally like someone with experience but training will be given. The right candidate just needs to be caring, compassionate and friendly above everything else. HOURS Post includes waking night shifts Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10pm 7am (9 hours). Set days will be allocated but the ideal candidate will also need to offer some flexibility with their hours to support any changes, including cover for Annual leave, sickness.
