As part of their growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee and drive the commercial function across a portfolio of high-value projects.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + Car allowance + Package
Contract Type: Permanent

Role Summary:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of multiple projects, from pre-contract to final account. This senior role involves ensuring the successful commercial performance of the business by providing strategic input, managing risk, supporting project teams, and maintaining best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead commercial management of live projects, ensuring cost control and accurate financial reporting.
2. Manage contract negotiations, variations, interim applications, and final accounts.
3. Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract management, ensuring value and schedule adherence.
4. Support pre-construction with cost planning, tender analysis, and commercial advice.
5. Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout project delivery.
6. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
7. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company procedures.
8. Provide commercial forecasts and reports to senior management for strategic planning.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
2. Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards it is preferred.
3. Experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
4. Knowledge of standard contracts, especially JCT.
5. Experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
6. Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
7. Effective leadership and communication abilities.
8. Proficiency in IT and reporting tools.
9. Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
