This is a school where teamwork, kindness, and consistency truly make a difference. ✨ About the Role We’re looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 who has Complex ASD and is non-verbal. You’ll work alongside the Class Teacher and Year 1 team, supporting the child within the classroom setting and helping them to engage with learning in a way that suits their individual needs. This is a full-time, long-term role continuing for the entire academic year, as consistency and trust are key for this child’s development and wellbeing. ✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE or equivalent) Can follow guidance and strategies set by the class teacher and SENCO Has a warm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children Can build trusting relationships and create a safe, nurturing environment Is reliable, flexible, and dedicated to helping every child thrive Why Join TeacherActive?
