Are you looking for an opportunity to work within a Local Authority and gain valuable experience in Children's Services? We are recruiting a full‑time, fixed‑term Business Officer (until March 2027) to provide high‑quality administrative support to the Huntingdonshire Child and Family Centre team. Child and Family Centres sit within a wider Targeted Support District team. The service aims to improve outcomes for all children and reduce inequalities for those experiencing disadvantage. This is a fully in‑person role, requiring attendance on‑site 5 days per week. The successful candidate must be able to travel and work flexibly across locations in Huntingdonshire where services are delivered.
You will provide high‑quality administrative support to the team, helping ensure the smooth and effective delivery of services. This role offers an excellent introduction to working within a Local Authority and the opportunity to develop your knowledge of Children's Services.
Responsibilities
* Work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Use a methodical approach, with clear communication and strong organisational skills.
* Confidently use Microsoft Office packages and work with databases.
* Liaise with colleagues, professionals and members of the public by phone, email and face‑to‑face.
* Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and adhere to data protection requirements.
