I have a new opportunity for a Depot Manager to work from a busy site based in Bow, Crediton. This role requires a confident leader to oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring smooth logistics, effective inventory control and strong staff management. You will be accountable for meeting performance targets, upholding health and safety standards and maintaining excellent levels of customer service. You’ll also ensure that all property, plant, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and kept in good working order. You will work closely with the central management team to ensure that all company policies are implemented and followed at all times within the depot. Job Title: Depot Manager Location: Bow, Crediton Devon Contract: Permanent Salary: Disclosed on Application Hours: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5.30pm & Saturday 8am – 12pm on a rotational basis General daily responsibilities: * Having a fleet of vehicles, you will be overseeing drivers, vehicles repairs, vehicle maintenance, and monitoring driving hours * Ensure all company policies is adhered to in relation to all vehicles and all staff, including health and safety, compliance and IT * Manage probation periods and performance effectively * Motivate, coach and ongoing development of team members * Carry out regular reviews and direct reports * Manage recruitment, inductions and training new starters * Communicate and collaborate with other depots regarding resources, deadlines and scheduling * Carry out investigation’s relation to accidents and incidents * Ensure office and administration task are completed * Monitor adequate stock levels and other products are kept at all times * Other responsibilities as required by the needs of the depot and business To be considered: * Relevant operators CPC qualifications * Proven experience within a previous managerial role * Ability to delegate tasks efficiently * Lead change projects and adoption of new technologies * Can work under pressure * A good understanding of transport and logistics Package: * 22 days holidays bank holidays * Discretionary annual bonus * Company Pension * 2 x annual salary life cover * Plus more For further information please contact Sally on (phone number removed) or (phone number removed) or to apply send a CV Riverside Recruitment are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy
