Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
* Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
* Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation quality
* Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service
* Clear tables efficiently and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods
* Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
* Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas throughout shifts
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
* Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
* Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
* Basic maths skills for billing and processing payments accurately
* Knowledge of food preparation and culinary principles is beneficial
* Effective time management skills to ensure smooth service flow
* Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
* Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not essential
