We’re looking for passionate, motivated Support Workers to join our Milton Keynes Support Service, where we work alongside people severely affected by mental illness to build confidence, independence and meaningful connections. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to work creatively and collaboratively with people who may be feeling isolated or disconnected from their community. You’ll play a key role in introducing individuals to new hobbies, building social networks, and developing the practical skills that support independent living. You’ll offer a mix of 1:1 support, group sessions, and face‑to‑face contact through our weekly wellbeing hubs and activity‑based groups — including walking groups. Every day is different, but every day you’ll be making a genuine difference. In this role, you will: Provide supportive, person‑centred 1:1 and group sessions Help individuals self‑manage daily living skills and access community resources Support people to attend appointments, engage in social activities and explore education, voluntary work or employment Create and review recovery‑focused support and safety plans Work closely with local agencies, community groups and mental health services Promote independence, wellbeing and hope Keep accurate, timely records in line with Rethink policies Contribute to service development and positive change About You You’re someone who believes in the power of connection, community and compassion. You don’t need to have it all figured out — if you bring heart, commitment and a willingness to learn, we’ll support you to grow.
