Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a major highways and infrastructure scheme in the Colchester area. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role on a high-profile project with long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting out and surveying works across highways and infrastructure packages
* Checking drawings, plans and quantities for accuracy
* Ensuring compliance with design and specification requirements
* Overseeing subcontractor works and ensuring safe site operations
* Maintaining site records, QA documentation, and as-built information
* Liaising with project management, designers, and the client team
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer within highways, infrastructure, or civils projects
* Proficiency with GPS / total station equipment and AutoCAD
* Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and road construction techniques
* CSCS card (minimum), SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
* Full UK driving licence
