Role Overview:
As a Trainer, you will play a crucial role in enabling our team to achieve excellence. This role is people-focused and concentrates on identifying training needs, creating engaging learning resources, and providing impactful training to ensure our teams are confident, skilled, and aligned with our high standards. You will work closely with departmental leads to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, contributing directly to our operational success.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with departmental leads to assess training needs and address skills gaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Design and maintain high-quality training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), onboarding resources, presentations, and briefings.
Oversee the review and authorisation of SOP's in line with established processes.
Deliver engaging onboarding and induction programmes to create a positive first impression and embed our company values.
Provide hands-on shop floor training, assessing and verifying trainee competence and confidence.
Drive continuous improvement in training systems and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date training records and skills matrices to support workforce planning.
Manage and update our online training platform, ensuring training is assigned promptly and effectively.
Support site audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead or contribute to apprenticeship programmes and community engagement initiatives, including school partnerships.
Mentor and support Department Trainers to enhance training delivery across the site.
Provide regular reports on training metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
