A progressive accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to become part of a collaborative Audit & Assurance team, gaining exposure to an interesting variety of assignments across multiple industries. Every project is different, offering plenty of variety, scope for development and the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues.
Role Responsibilities
* Take ownership of planning and delivering audit assignments, leading fieldwork teams on-site or remotely.
* Prepare year-end accounts and assist with corporate tax computations.
* Work directly with clients, addressing queries and ensuring expectations are met.
* Review files prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy before submission to managers.
* Provide mentoring, coaching and feedback to more junior colleagues.
* Manage time effectively, keeping projects within budget and deadlines.
Personal Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, ICAS, or CA qualified/part-qualified (essential).
* Practical experience of planning and running external audits within a UK practice (essential).
* Familiarity with UK GAAP/FRS 102 reporting standards.
* Comfortable working directly with clients in a professional capacity.
* Good working knowledge of audit software (Caseware) and MS Office.
* A positive, proactive approach with the desire to continue developing your technical and leadership skills.
