Support Secretary - Pain Management

The Pain Management Department is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support for the department.
The post holder is expected to provide day‑to‑day secretarial and administrative services employing advanced audio‑typing skills with medical terminology.
This post offers an exciting challenge and the opportunity to play a key supportive role in the development of the Service.
Main duties of the job
* To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the triage team within the Pain Management department.
* To support secretarial and administrative colleagues in meeting departmental objectives.

Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to use transcription equipment.
Qualifications
* RSA II or equivalent.
* Qualification in medical secretarial studies.
* Possession of ECDL qualification.
Knowledge
* Good all‑round secretarial knowledge of office practice and procedures.
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook; audio‑typing experience (RSA II or equivalent).
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Knowledge of the Trust's current Information Technology systems (e.g., Medisec, Patient Centre, EPR, G2 dictation).
Experience
* Significant experience in a hospital setting or similar.
