This market leader in signage and cladding, are looking for an Estimator to join their existing team. They deliver bespoke signage for high profile clients and are known for delivering outstanding results. The company is ambitious, innovative, and growth-focused, with a strong team ethos.
The purpose of the Estimator is to support the success and growth of the signage team by accurately estimating project costs.
You must have a good understanding of AutoCad to enable you to read the CAD files for estimating.
This role is hybrid, 2/3 days in the office in Kent with occasional flexibility to meet client deadlines.
The Estimator will work closely with senior colleagues, site teams and clients to deliver outstanding results.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for signage projects, including materials, labour, subcontractors, and installation.
* Review drawings and specifications and client briefs to determine project requirements and scope.
* Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure best value and quality.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, production methods, and installation techniques.
* Present estimates and proposals clearly and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Support the sales team with technical input and accurate pricing information for tenders or proposals.
* Contribute to refining estimating processes for greater efficiency and consistency.
* Uphold the company’s commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and brand integrity.
Essential Skills for the role include:
* Some previous experience in estimating, project coordination, or administration (in signage, construction, print, manufacturing, or related industries).
* Familiar with and able to understand and read CAD drawings.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing with clients, suppliers, and team members.
* Sound numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret drawings, measurements, or specifications.
* Competence in using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word) or similar digital tools.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about signage materials, production processes, and project delivery.
* Ideally to have experience using estimating software.
* Current driver’s licence (for site visits or supplier coordination)
