The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team, working 06:00 - 18:00 on a 223 shift pattern.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering services and technical support to the business, with focus on reducing downtime proactively using the sites PM software.
Duties to include
* The execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements
* The provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime
* Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance
* Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required
* Continually drive towards a PPM culture
* To assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team
* The provision of a first-class engineering service
* Providing daily progress updates to the Site engineering lead
* Working together with internal and external teams
* Compliance with all health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
* Communicate effectively with engineering stores, on parts used, to maintain the restock cycle
* Work alongside production with a "one team" mindset

Minimum skills / experience
* Time served apprenticeship
* Electrical qualifications from a recognised body
* Mechanical qualifications from a recognised body
* NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent
* Electrical fault-finding skills
* Logic Control experience (desirable)
