Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting an enthusiastic IQA/Assessor Engineering (Welding)to join our high-performing Technology Department.The role will be based at the Roundhouse, with a requirement for daily travel across the Derby region and offers a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise while supporting apprentices to achieve their full potential.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality learning experiences that support apprentices to achieve, progress, and thrive. Youll manage a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through every stage of their programme while ensuring compliance with quality requirements. Working closely with employers, youll tailor learning plans, conduct workplace visits, and provide meaningful feedback that drives success and prepares apprentices for their future careers.

About You

Youll hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification in welding or completion of a level 3 apprenticeship in welding. Youll also have an Assessors Award (A1)/TAQA and bring at least three years of recent, hands-on industry experience. Confident, organised, and able to work independently, youll engage effectively with students and colleagues while maintaining high professional and safeguarding standards.
