Overview
We are seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to handle materials, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. Duties
* Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, pick orders and locate incoming stock in racking within the warehouse
* Manage materials handling processes, ensuring accurate movement of products
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
* Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records
* Perform basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment as needed
* Support warehouse organisation by stacking, sorting, and storing items appropriately
* Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
* Assist with stocktaking activities and maintain accurate inventory levels
* Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Day and night shift positions available
Skills
* Proven experience operating pivot-steer forklifts in a warehouse environment
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
* Mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
* Strong materials handling skills with the ability to load & unload efficiently
* Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and documentation requirements
* Basic maths skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently over long shifts
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
* Physical fitness to work in a demanding environment
