Planners will be required to support the team and senior planners on work packages and projects of varying size and complexity. Due to the nature of the programme, work packages may vary in size, with Planners working across multiple smaller projects or one significantly larger in value. A Planner is responsible for building and maintaining their assigned schedule(s), understanding the logic within the defined scope, and managing interfaces with other work packages or projects. They will liaise with stakeholders to gather data for regular progress updates and play a key role in change management. Their schedules will drive project work, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
As a Planner, you should have a passion for providing services as required by our clients, which may include:
* Creating, developing, and maintaining project schedules that align with project requirements on complex, risk-managed projects or programmes.
* Adhering to NEC or FIDIC contract processes for schedule data management and submissions.
* Assisting the project team in developing status reports to inform management on progress.
* Reducing uncertainty, improving efficiency, and clarifying project objectives.
* Interacting with the project team to define scope, develop detailed schedules, and identify variances.
* Helping project managers schedule work and coordinate assignments.
* Evaluating schedule progress and performance to identify issues.
* Analyzing float, critical path, and constraints to assess the impact of changes or slippages, and recommending recovery actions.
* Supporting project managers in change management processes.
* Undertaking project progress reviews.
* Monitoring and advising on project KPIs and understanding Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.
