Youll have strong support from senior management and the opportunity to help run the farm.Our ideal candidate is driven, organised and passionate about bird welfare. Youll play a key role in ensuring excellent crop performance while maintaining high standards across welfare, safety and compliance.Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)Care for the birds daily checking their housing, feed, water, ventilation and overall welfareKeep sheds clean, well-maintained and ready for each new flockComplete simple daily paperwork and keep accurate recordsMaintain strong hygiene and biosecurity to protect the birds and the siteHandle birds humanely and remove any that have diedSupport and supervise staff and contractors working on the farmOrder essential supplies such as feed and fuelCarry out basic farm and equipment maintenanceWork closely with your Farm Manager, vets and wider team to maintain strong performance and good welfareAssist nearby farms when neededFollow all Health & Safety procedures to keep yourself and others safeSkills & Personal QualitiesPrevious experience in poultry farming (broilers preferred)Strong understanding of bird care and welfareConfident in communicating with managers, vets and contractorsGood record-keeping and attention to detailReliable, proactive and able to take ownership of the siteOrganised and able to manage busy farm routinesMandatory RequirementsPrevious poultry experiencePoultry PassportGood understanding of bird welfare and complianceFull UK driving licenceYour own reliable transportLegal right to work in the UKDesirableNVQ in Poultry Production (If you dont have this yet, we will enrol you)Tractor, telehandler and/or forklift experience or licenceBenefitsPrivate medical insurance with a leading provider31 days holiday per yearCompany pensionHealth & wellbeing programmeFree parking/on-site parkingFull training and ongoing developmentAccommodationPreferably a candidate who resides within 20-25 minutes of the farm but will look at options for those who are further afield.TPBN1_UKTJ
