The Role
Advanced Water Company is seeking a structured and commercially aware Finance Manager to oversee the operational delivery of our finance function.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring disciplined month-end reporting and supporting working capital visibility within a growing SME environment.
The position plays a key role in maintaining financial stability and operational control as the business continues to scale.
Location:
The candidate will be employed in the Pershore office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead month-end close and deliver accurate management accounts.
* Maintain financial control and ledger integrity across the business.
* Ensure reconciliations are completed consistently and on time.
* Manage VAT, payroll and statutory compliance processes.
* Monitor debtor and creditor balances to support working capital discipline.
* Supervise and support Finance Assistants.
* Contribute to process improvement and reporting consistency.
* Support the ongoing development of financial systems and internal controls.
Key Skills & Experience
* 3–5+ years' experience in a similar finance role.
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA preferred).
* Strong technical accounting capability and management accounts experience.
* Experience operating within an SME environment (distribution or wholesale advantageous).
* ERP experience (Sage 200 preferred).
* Advanced Excel capability.
* Organised, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
* Commercial awareness and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
* Professional, calm and structured in approach.
Working Hours:
08.30am to 17.00pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes taken for lunch.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
