The Opportunity
Based at W Sherry & Sons Funeral Directors – Acton Green, Funeral Service Operatives are calm, professional and play a vital role in our service. They are often the first members of the team to meet our families and provide reassurance that we will take good care of their loved ones while preparing them for their final journey.
They work behind the scenes in the mortuary, fitting coffins, dressing the deceased and participate in funeral services, pallbearing and ensuring everything goes smoothly.
Duties include driving company vehicles – a full driving licence is required – and participation in the out‑of‑hours and on‑call rota, which offers additional earnings.
We will train you as a Funeral Director to support the business needs.
