Aerodynamics Engineer (Testing)
Catfoss Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a globally respected R&D company to recruit an Aerodynamics Engineer for their expanding team.
We seek a talented and passionate Aerodynamics Engineer to support a wide range of projects from inception to completion, including wind tunnel testing, aerodynamic analysis, and reporting. Experience with commercial wind tunnel applications and advanced measurement techniques is highly desirable.
The role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality aerodynamic data using facilities such as wind tunnels and high-performance computing clusters.
Typical hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (shift work may be required)
Salary range:
£30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support and leadership to project teams.
2. Deliver projects meeting quality, time, and budget standards.
3. Handle client requests, prepare technical bids, and oversee test requirements.
4. Ensure data quality and timely reporting to clients.
5. Analyze and interpret aerodynamic datasets.
6. Support experimental and numerical tasks.
7. Produce technical reports.
8. Develop innovative testing processes and enhance facility capabilities.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Degree or equivalent experience in aerospace, engineering, or related sciences.
2. Relevant industrial or academic experience preferred.
3. Experience with wind tunnel testing.
4. Strong knowledge of aerodynamics.
5. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Willingness to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Project completion capability.
9. Confidence to question and improve existing processes.
