As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms, you are an integral part of a team dedicated to developing high-quality architecture solutions for software applications and platform products aimed at the public cloud. Your expertise across multiple architecture domains allows you to promote significant business impact and contribute to shaping the target state architecture. Job responsibilities Guide architectural decisions for the enterprise cloud platform and advise tenant applications, initially for AWS Work across partner teams and lines of business to make the platform the best possible cloud platform in financial services Evaluate and assess new cloud technologies in the light of Atlas initiatives to ensure effective integration and adoption by business lines of business. Lead efforts to provide end-to-end governance and automation for the cloud experience Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in the cloud platform, AWS and end-to-end governance and automation Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on Architecture concepts and proficient advanced experience Strong awareness and practical skills in toolchain governance e.g. SDLC Commercial cloud native software experience, ideally on AWS At least AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Strong coding skills in Python, Java or Golang Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge of cloud native principles Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Comfortable working across functional teams from different lines of business from engineers, architects to product managers and potentially remote. Comfortable authoring technical documentation covering design and architecture content. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills AWS Solution Architect or Developer certifications or higher professional cloud certification valuable Ideally familiarity and experienced with C4 and UML modelling tools Good experience with Kubernetes, using CLI, developing and deploying applications and leveraging service mesh technologies. Comfortable with common identity and access based standards including SAML and OIDC and approaches including ABAC.
