Basic Salary - up to £55,000 per annum, subject to experience

Who We're Looking For
We seek an experienced and technically proficient Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee fire detection and alarm system projects, ensuring compliance with BS 5839-1:2017 and BS 5839-6:2020. Strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams from pre-installation to completion are essential.
* Manage fire alarm system projects from inception to handover, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to specifications
* Ensure all system designs, installations, and commissioning comply with BS 5839-1:2017, BS 5839-6:2020, and BAFE SP203
* Review proposed fire alarm systems for compliance and functionality
* Conduct site surveys to assess conditions and client requirements
* Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate and resolve technical issues
* Provide monthly progress reports to the Operations Manager
* Maintain all necessary documentation such as drawings, certificates, and manuals
Requirements
In addition to attributes like a positive attitude, excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork, candidates should offer:
* Proven experience in fire alarm project management, preferably with a fire or life safety systems contractor
* Strong understanding of BS 5839-1:2017 and BS 5839-6:2020, with practical application
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Familiarity with CAD drawings, schematics, and technical specs
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, LPCB)
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites
Desirable:
* Experience with other fire safety standards and building systems
* Project management certification
* Experience with risk assessments and fire strategy reports
