Trusts & Probate Solicitor - 3+ PQE
We are currently working with a well-regarded firm seeking a Trusts and Probate Solicitor to join their Private Client department. This is a key role within an experienced team, offering a broad and interesting caseload with opportunities for ongoing development.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of private client matters, with a focus on:
* Probate and estate administration, including both non-taxable and complex taxable estates (IHT400 and associated schedules).
* Intestate estates, requiring a thorough understanding of intestacy rules.
* Trust work, including the creation and administration of life interest and discretionary trusts, and advising on their tax implications.
* Providing clear, practical advice to clients, often including older individuals and high-net-worth clients.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in probate and trusts.
* Have strong technical knowledge and a client-focused approach.
* Be comfortable working independently, while also contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
* Possess strong organisational and communication skills.
* STEP membership (or a willingness to work towards it) is desirable but not essential.
