Our client is requiring a Sales Administrator to join their niche brand aligned with the construction/manufacturing industry.
The role is based in Reading, hybrid WFH two days a week, but candidates must live within 15 miles of Reading, Berks.
The job comes with a discretionary bonus of up to 10% of basic and free lunches. The perks are superb.
Key purpose:-
To play a fundamental role in the growth of this innovative organisation by supporting the Sales Manager in running the team and in working with customers. This role involves handling administrative tasks, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, the sales team, and other departments.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
job specifics:-
§ Supporting the Sales Manager and Sales Team with day-to-day tasks and admin support
§ Present a professional courteous attitude while answering all inbound calls and addressing customer or sales team needs
§ Ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
§ Develop skills to meet or exceed agreed annual and quarterly sales goals, profit margins, and activity goals
§ Maintain and update the CRM system, run reports, and offer areas for improvement/streamlining
§ Assist with writing sales proposals and tender responses
§ Represent the company at public events, exhibits and conferences
§ Answer customer email inquiries promptly to resolve or escalate any complaint or issue while maintaining customer satisfaction
§ Diary management and logistical support for events
§ Follow up actions from client meetings, with prospects, clients and colleagues
§ Providing weekly and monthly reports to the Sales Manager against KPIs
§ Report on won and lost sales and any lessons learnt/recommendations
§ Provide a quarterly report to the Sales Manager on competitors in the market and their USP
§ Support the sales team with scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and handling follow-ups
§ Assisting with pipeline management and follow ups
§ Providing quotations to customers
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
§ Previous experiences in a sales administrator/Sales Support -based role preferably within the construction industry.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM software.
§ Some experience with selling over the phone, order taking, and quote follow up
