Project EngineerJob Type: Full-time, permanentLocation: Gateshead (UK & International travel)This role involves direct engagement with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure the smooth delivery of engineering tasks, technical improvements, and support activities.Day-to-day of the role:Manage and contribute to technical services delivered at customer sites and internal facilities.Oversee in-service support activities including engineering changes, obsolescence management, and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS).Ensure compliance with all technical, regulatory, safety, quality, and process standards.Manage engineering workflows, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain accurate documentation.Engage directly with customers, providing technical updates, solutions, and written reports.Support training planning and continuous professional development.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong engineering background with an emphasis on electronics.Able to work effectively in small, multidisciplinary teams and operate independently when required.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.Methodical, proactive problem-solver capable of handling both hands-on and analytical tasks.Understanding of commercial processes, including order delivery and revenue impact.Experienced in managing multiple engineering workflows and working across varied technical disciplines.Skilled in stakeholder management with both internal teams and external customers.Knowledge of engineering change control and obsolescence management.Desirable: Expertise in electrical, electronic, or communications engineering.Additional Requirements:Full UK driving licence.Ability to travel within the UK and potentially overseas.Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) or higher if required.To apply for the Project Engineer position, please submit your CV detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position.
