Role Accountabilities:
We are looking for someone with early IT experience who has a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and is keen to develop their skills within a supportive team environment to join our Group IT Helpdesk in Whiteley as First Line Support.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day first line calls and ticket triage to support end users at the desktop level.
We will support and invest in your technical development and career progression as part of our growing IT function.
* Ensure Helpdesk calls are answered in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure tickets are logged to the highest quality, correctly identified and prioritised, and responses are timely, containing meaningful feedback.
* Contribute to request and incident resolution by way of remote analysis and support to end users at the desktop level.
* Escalate incidents and requests to various 2nd line teams.
* Install and configure computer and mobile software.
* Manage stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
The Candidate:
Essential:
* Desktop support experience.
* Computer related Degree/Diploma/Microsoft Certification.
* Experience using Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office products.
* Strong customer service ethos.
* A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow with the team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to define issues and requests, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
Desirable:
* UK driving license.
* Exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce beneficial but can be trained on the job).
* Experience of supporting Hosted Telephony Platforms (MITEL).
* Experience of supporting and configuring mobile devices (Android).
