What you will do:
- Provide professional information, assessment, and support to ensure children and young people access the necessary services to improve their quality of life.
- Liaise with partners to gather important information for assessing and reviewing care plans.
- Ensure safeguarding duties are undertaken, maintaining the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, supporting them through comprehensive, systemic assessments.
- Prepare reports, records, and statements for court proceedings, bringing your expertise to the legal arena as needed.
- Champion seamless service delivery by working collaboratively within multi-agency settings.
- Continue expanding your expertise in specific areas of childrens social care, becoming a reliable expert within your team.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work and current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in UK Social Services, with a strong foundation in assessment, planning, safeguarding, and court work.
- Demonstrable knowledge of UK legislation related to Children and Families, and experience working within multi-agency teams.
- Strong communication and IT skills, with an appreciation for confidentiality and data protection.
