Electrical Engineer
Assystem is an international company committed to accelerating the energy transition worldwide.
We are a multi-disciplinary engineering team working at the Approving Authority, supporting nuclear facilities and delivering services across client sites near Helensburgh.
Your Missions
* Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
* Handle design changes and concessions.
* Present design substantiations to safety committees.
* Develop EIMT schedule, procedures, and results.
* Produce periodic review of safety reports.
* Advise internal and external stakeholders.
* Conduct independent technical review.
* Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high‑risk environments.
* Justify civil/structural design modifications.
* Review reports and safety submissions.
* Check and review calculations and technical documents.
Qualifications
* Experience in design assessment of electrical installations in HV or LV environment.
* Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects.
* Experience assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
* Authoring technical justifications for electrical design modifications in high‑hazard industries.
* Experience in multi‑discipline projects providing electrical engineering input.
* Experience in regulated environments.
* Familiarity with safety case development techniques such as HAZID and HAZOP studies.
* Worked in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defense), especially in safety‑related structures, systems and components.

* Hybrid role with visits to client site near Helensburgh.
* Security clearance SC, UK National.
* BEng in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience.
