Job Details: Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.

About The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join our recovery coordination team across County Durham.Salary offered will be dependent upon experience. Our team provides support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use and involvement with the criminal justice system.

Our Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator role will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes and give us the knowledge and resources to be able to reach and engage people with a range of needs within our communities.

We work collaboratively with Probation, Prison and Court to support individuals who require additional intensive support to engage with treatment services. The role will also support colleagues for decision making to ensure that Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) orders and Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) orders are suitable and supported to achieve the best outcomes.

You will offer tailored guidance in minimising harmful behaviour and, if required, support those into service should they need more substantial support. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
