The role
As a B2 Licensed Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering serviceable aircraft and maintaining engineering facilities to meet operational requirements. Working with the Line Maintenance Controller (LMC) Scotland, Avionics Supervisor and the wider Maintenance team, you’ll ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards of safety, compliance and airworthiness.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
1. Completing line and base maintenance tasks, including avionic annuals and defect rectification.
2. Managing and resolving carry‑forward or deferred defects in accordance with the MEL, supported by the LMC or Duty Manager.
3. Ensuring all required tools, equipment, materials and airworthiness data are available to safely complete maintenance tasks.
4. Handling general ground operations and supporting the safe movement and readiness of rotary aircraft.
5. Complying with all Health & Safety requirements, company policies and maintenance procedures.
This is a full‑time, permanent, onsite role working a 4‑6‑4 roster over a 28‑day cycle — 14 days on, 14 days off — with flexibility to move days when required.
Essential experience of the B2 Licensed Engineer:
6. Line and base avionic maintenance experience.
7. Experience working on rotary aircraft.
8. Ability to repair and maintain aircraft avionics systems in line with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
9. Able to raise tasks and issue approved materials via Maintenance Interface Systems.
10. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, flight safety and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Qualifications for the B2 Licensed Engineer:
Valid CAA Part 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) — ideally with EC‑ and/or H‑ type ratings.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
