We are looking for a Digital Finishing Operator to join Paragon's Dagenham site, working permanent night shifts in the Production Finishing department.
As a Digital Finishing Operator, you'll operate a range of finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. You'll be responsible for ensuring all jobs are completed to specification, on time, and to the highest standards, working as part of a fast-paced production team. This role requires technical knowledge of finishing processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Hours: 42 hours per week on a rotating night shift pattern: 3-on, 2-off / 2-on, 3-off / 2-on, 2-off / 3-on, 3-off (18:00 – 06:00)
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum.
Main Responsibilities:
* Operate a variety of finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, laminators, and binders.
* Ensure all jobs are completed to the correct specification, quality checked, and dispatched on time.
* Maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in all output.
* Prepare materials and set up machines to support workflow efficiency.
* Report and escalate machine issues promptly and assist with routine maintenance.
* Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to prioritise workloads and meet production schedules.
* Follow all health and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
* Contribute to reducing waste and errors by following company processes.
* Support cross-training within the department to build flexibility and team skills.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in print finishing or production (digital print experience preferred).
* Hands-on knowledge of finishing equipment such as guillotines, laminators, folders, and binders.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
