Job Description:
A prominent consumer goods organization is launching a significant capital transformation programme and seeks a high-impact Procurement Manager to lead this initiative.
This role will oversee all Capex procurement activities across multiple UK manufacturing sites. It offers a unique opportunity to develop sourcing strategies for complex, high-value projects, including equipment, civil works, and support services. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders at all levels to enhance procurement capabilities, deliver value, and ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead sourcing and procurement for capital projects involving machinery, engineering services, and civil works.
2. Manage end-to-end project delivery across UK sites.
3. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with capital investment goals.
4. Support procurement governance, controls, and efficiency improvements within transformation programmes.
5. Create tools, frameworks, and supplier strategies to optimize spend.
6. Build relationships across engineering, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
7. Promote cross-functional collaboration and influence decision-making.
Key Requirements:
1. Extensive capital procurement experience in FMCG, food, drink, or pharma sectors.
2. Proven track record in sourcing equipment, civil works, and technical services (CAPEX).
3. Experience with MRO procurement is a plus.
4. Ability to work autonomously and manage change effectively.
5. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
6. Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple workstreams.
7. Aspiring to grow into a procurement leadership role.
Interview Process:
1. Stage 1: Functional & Technical Interview focusing on procurement capability, transformation experience, and CAPEX delivery.
2. Stage 2: Presentation to leadership, discussing leadership style, collaboration, and future goals.
