Overview
The role of the School Caretaker is to ensure that the school functions safely and effectively on a daily basis. The role is key to ensuring that school facilities are available and fit for purpose at all times. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site is clean and tidy, items are moved to the appropriate place, minor repairs are made and contractors are effectively monitored whilst on site. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people.
About our school: At Lift Winton, our students are diverse, exciting and talented - and the same is true of our staff. We emphasise professional development, most of it in-house, and are proud of the high number of good and outstanding teachers who work in our school. We are keen to encourage new and/or young staff to make their mark as soon as they are ready. Lift Schools serves communities around Andover in the centre of Hampshire, with a short commute from Winchester, Salisbury and many picturesque Hampshire villages. Ofsted judged us a Good academy in January 2018. With our Principal, Rebecca Clark, we are building on our strengths to develop into an outstanding place to learn and teach.
Who is Lift Schools? We are a diverse and inclusive network of schools with one clear mission: to provide an excellent education to every child - in every classroom, every day. We operate across 57 schools and are committed to safeguarding, equality of opportunity and supporting our staff to do their best work.
We adopt a fair and consistent recruitment process inline with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.
