Offer description

£13.26 per hour rising to £13.47 after successful completion of training and probation period.

37 hours including some evenings and weekends

Are you creative, peoplefocused and passionate about making a positive difference? We’re looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our Short Stay services, designing meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of the people we support.

About you

You don’t need to have previous experience of working in social care, what’s important is that you are

* Kindhearted, caring and compassionate, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
* Creative and adaptable, able to develop activities and adjust plans around changing service needs.
* Naturally enthusiastic and engaging, with the confidence to involve people in a wide range of activities.
* An effective communicator with people who use the service, colleagues, managers and professionals.
* Willing to learn, with the ability and motivation to complete training and qualifications as required.
* Able to use your initiative, make decisions and adapt as the needs of the service change.
* A supportive team player who is also comfortable working independently.

About the role

As an Activities Coordinator, you will develop and deliver a varied, personcentred programme of activities for people using our service as well as people we support across all of our services. Your work will help provide meaning, purpose and enjoyment, supporting wellbeing across all aspects of daily life.

In this role, you will:

* Design and develop a creative, engaging timetable of activities based on the needs and preferences of the people we support.
* Plan and organise activities, outings and wider events across Persona, including seasonal and themed celebrations.
* Monitor admissions and adjust plans to reflect individual needs at any given time.
