Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Controller Salary: £Competitive- subject to experience Contract: Permanent Work Location: Widnes (On site) Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours (Monday to Friday) Who are Schenk UK Ltd: Schenk UK operate a nationwide road tanker fleet which has been successfully serving the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors for over 60 years, and is the largest chemical transporter in the UK. Role: To ensure that we continue to provide our clients with the excellent and safety conscious service we are known for, we are currently recruiting for a Fleet Maintenance Controller to be based at our Widnes Site on a permanent basis. As one of our Maintenance Controllers, you will provide broad technical support to our Fleet team. This is a varied role where you will be involved in ensuring that fleet and driver compliance records are maintained. You will assist in scheduling and monitoring fleet compliance and updating company records as necessary by uploading fleet documentation to inhouse and external systems. You will work with suppliers and the workshop team to deliver regular updates on fleet repairs and MOT’s. You will be client facing, so having good communication skills and a friendly manner is key. As such, it is highly desirable that you have experience working in a transport, logistics or haulage environment. You will be responsible for: Compliance - Ensuring all aspects of fleet maintenance and driver compliance are maintained to the highest standards Fleet Maintenance - Scheduling and monitoring assets compliance paperwork i.e. MOT, ADR, Tank Test, Road Tax, Defects, etc. Reducing costs and minimizing asset downtime Fleet Administration - uploading compliance documentation ensure and electronically audit trail and maintenance schedule is correct Customer Service - Assisting operations, workshops and suppliers with any requirements Freeway – Creating purchase orders for all costs on maintenance software package called freeway, following approval processes and challenging costs Operations – Work closely with operations departments to ensure asset maintenance is scheduled and carried out on time Convey – tachograph management, ensuring Working Time Directive, Tacho Downloads are complete and accuracy DVSA Earn Recognition - Ensure five maintenance related KPIs and 9 driver related KPIs are within targets and issues escalated Required Experience: Experience in a Maintenance support role Experience in a workshop Excellent people skills Strong Microsoft office skills & experience Ideally, experience working in a transport, logistics or shipping environment The Package: Salary: £Competitive subject to experience Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays Birthday: 1 day to be taken in the month of your birthday Maternity / Paternity: Enhanced terms
