Senior Sous Chef – Full-Time
Location: Ollie's, Torquay, Devon
Salary: Competitive, DOE + excellent tips (paid fortnightly)
Hours: Full-time, flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
About Us
Ollie's is a modern British restaurant in Torquay, focused on fresh, local produce cooked simply and beautifully. We work closely with local suppliers, including Brixham Fish Market for our seafood and Dartmoor Farmers for our beef. We also dry-age our own meat in-house and cut to order, allowing us to maintain exceptional quality and consistency.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen at Ollie's. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and enjoys developing others.
You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
* Leading services and managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
* Training, mentoring and motivating junior chefs
* Assisting with menu development and specials
* Stock control, ordering and waste management
* Ensuring food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance

* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy service
* Organised, reliable and hands-on
