Requirements for the Senior Fertility Nurse:
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
* Experience in fertility nursing
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassion and the ability to provide emotional support to patients.
* Calm and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Knowledge of current fertility treatments and technologies.
Skills and Responsibilities of the Senior Fertility Nurse:
* Provide vigilant supervision of medications, blood analyses, and ultrasound assessments.
* Conduct fertility evaluations and diagnostic examinations, including semen analyses and blood tests, actively contributing to the interpretation of findings.
* Guide patients through treatment alternatives, ensuring a thorough understanding of pros and cons.
* Collaborate closely with physicians, embryologists, and healthcare colleagues to seamlessly coordinate patient care.
* Educate patients on fertility-related concerns and therapies, demonstrating proficiency in administering fertility medications.
* Administer various injections, including subcutaneous and intramuscular applications.
* Assist in procedures such as egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and other fertility interventions.
* Maintain meticulous patient records and comprehensive documentation.
* Actively participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest fertility treatments and technologies.
* Ensure unwavering adherence to clinic policies and protocols during the delivery of patient care.
